[Video] Man In Charge – Live From Paradise

“This is my first solo music video and I had a lot of fun shooting it. The video was shot at two locations on the east side of Ann Arbor, MI near where I grew up. I wanted the video to show what Michigan was like in the dead of winter but also how we still can have fun and come together even when it’s freezing. I also like how you can almost feel the cold when you watch it because of how bundled up we all were and how the snow was falling throughout the entire video. We really couldn’t have picked a better day! And the crazy part is that there was literally no snow on the ground about a week before the shoot, but that’s just classic Michigan weather. It was really cool to have some of my Branch Out Family on the set with me, as well as my younger brother D-Squeeze and the young homie Professor Megablown. I was happy that I got to shoot the second verse at my old elementary school, Pittsfield Elementary, which is also where the basketball hoop from the single artwork is from. I really wanted to showcase that school because that’s where I feel it all started for me. It was crazy shooting there because when I was in 5th grade I used to play on those basketball courts and play tag on that playground. It was an honor to work with someone as talented as Cy who was really good at helping me realize my vision for the video and I don’t think it could have turned out any better.
